Columbia, California, Stock. Neatly cut cancelled with bit of tape at back. Beautiful sweeping vignette of mining scene. Superb Graphics! An important addition to any collection! Columbia was one of the richest California Gold areas in the center of the Mother Lode. Organized in 1851, the companys main function was to support Columbias mining exploits with water that was transported via a ditch system. Financier D. O. Mills bought into the company heavily, which enabled the purchase of the Columbia Ditch. All of it was profitable through about 1860. Item ordered may not be exact piece shown.
