This is one of the largest butterflies native to western North America.These chrysalises are in diapause (overwintering) and will eclose in spring or summer 2026. After receiving the chrysalis, place it in a sealed plastic container and store in the refrigerator during the winter months. Remove from the refrigerator once outdoor temperatures have warmed, and expose to natural daylength cycle and temperatures.
