Hornwort Appearance & ShippingHornwort may arrive looking delicate and darker in
color due to the shipping process. When grown outdoors or in full sunlight, hornwort develops a darker green
color and a dense, bushy appearance. Once introduced into an aquarium, it typically transitions to a lighter green shade and a thinner growth pattern as it adapts to its new environment.Important Notes About HornwortPlease be aware that hornwort can be messy upon arrival. It is a sensitive plant that does not enjoy being shipped and will often shed a significant amount of needles/leaves during transit. This is completely normal. Simply rinse the plant gently and allow it to float freely in your aquarium. If shipping takes several days, some yellowing or browning may occur. Hornwort is a very fast-growing plant and recovers quickly once placed in suitable aquarium conditions. It performs best when left floating if planted, the lower portions of the stems may rot.Important InformationPhotos shown are sample images only and not the exact plants you will receiveEach plant will vary slightly in size, color, and shapeWe strive to ship healthy, high quality plants and respond promptly to messagesIf you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out we’re always happy to helpHornwort Care GuideCare Level: EasyCO₂: Not requiredGrowth Rate: FastPlacement: Background or floatingLighting: ModerateColor: Green to brownMaximum Size: 24+ inchesPropagation: CuttingsLegal DisclaimerWhile most aquatic plants are legal to own, regulations vary by state.
