The Exorcist: Believer Movie Trailer
“The Exorcist: Believer” is directed by David Gordon Green, known for his recent work on the “Halloween” franchise. The movie’s main character is Victor Fielding, played by Leslie Odom, Jr. Twelve years ago, Victor’s pregnant wife died in a Haitian earthquake, and since then, he has been raising their daughter Angela, portrayed by Lidya Jewett, all by himself. One day, Angela and her friend Katherine (Olivia Marcum) go missing in the woods. After three days, they return, but they have no memory of what happened to them. This event sets off a series of frightening incidents that compel Victor to confront the deepest, darkest evil. In his fear and desperation, he seeks out the only person alive who has witnessed anything similar before Chris MacNeil.
Ellen Burstyn, who won an Oscar, returns to play the same character she portrayed in the past, a woman whose life was forever changed by her daughter Regan’s possession fifty years ago. The rest of the cast includes Ann Dowd (known for “The Handmaid’s Tale”), Jennifer Nettles (from “Harriet”), and Norbert Leo Butz (from “Fosse/Verdon”). The film’s screenplay was written by David Gordon Green and Peter Sattler (known for “Camp X-Ray”), based on a story by Scott Teems (from “Halloween Kills”), Danny McBride (from the “Halloween” trilogy), and Green. The characters were originally created by William Peter Blatty. The movie is produced by Jason Blum for Blumhouse, and David Robinson and James G. Robinson for Morgan Creek Entertainment. The executive producers include Danny McBride, David Gordon Green, Stephanie Allain, Ryan Turek, and Atilla Yücer.
“The Exorcist: Believer” is set to hit theaters on Oct. 13.

Fans’ Reaction to The Exorcist: Believer Movie Trailer
One fan expressed excitement after watching the trailer, praising Ellen Burstyn for reprising her role as Chris MacNeil and being a big fan of the original movie. They mentioned how the original “Exorcist” film had a unique tone set in older times, creating an eerie feeling without showing much. It was groundbreaking at the time and left a lasting impact. They feel that the modern take in the new film might remove some of the original horror elements. However, they are still looking forward to watching it and hoping it turns out to be good.
Another fan commented on the movie’s interesting twist of having two possessed girls, making it a unique addition to the possession film genre. They are intrigued and enjoy psychological horror thrillers with mystical or paranormal aspects. They are particularly excited about Ellen Burstyn’s return to the franchise, considering it reason enough to watch the film, especially with its Halloween release.
