Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Movie Trailer:
The trailer has been getting excellent responses from audiences across social media platforms. In the first 24 hours, the trailer received a whopping 57 million views across all platforms, including over 32 million views on the Dharma Productions YouTube channel.
The trailer introduces us to Rocky Randhawa (Ranveer Singh), a typical ‘chicha’ who has fallen for Rani (Alia). She comes from a well-educated Bengali family from Kolkata while Ranveer’s character harks back to his Band, Baaja, Baraat performance, only richer. Both of their worlds are polar opposites, hence before marriage, they decide to ‘switch’ their families to know if their marriage will survive. But they fail to fit in. Jaya Bachchan’s Dhanlakshmi is evidently the villain of Rani and Rocky’s ‘not-so-perfect’ love story.
Ahead of the release of his film’s trailer, Karan shared several pictures of Alia and Ranveer from the film. The film’s team also unveiled the first romantic number from its soundtrack, ‘Tum Kya Mile’ which became a rage among music lovers. Composed by Pritam and sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, the song was shot in Kashmir earlier this year.
The teaser showed that it is a family drama. The teaser which was dropped today has captured fans’ hearts with its colorful and vibrant depiction of the classic family drama that Karan Johar is known for. Ranveer Singh is introduced in a solo dance sequence and a lavish set-up, presumably at a family event as backup dancers decked up in ethnic outfits stood behind him and Alia Bhatt in the most picturesque location. She wore a pink saree as she posed in front of snow-clad mountains. What followed was a series of close-up shots of Alia and Ranveer wearing their designer best and posing in various indoor and outdoor locations.
The teaser highlighted family emotions, drama, wedding celebrations, etc among people and it showed Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Pritam playing important roles.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Release Date:
Ranveer will be seen as a spoiled brat while Alia will be seen as a Bengali girl. The narrative will seemingly revolve around these two characters, along with plenty of humor from their families. The film is releasing on 28 July 2023.

The movie was originally slated for a February release, but will now debut on July 28 in theatres.
