Sourced from reputable suppliers in the USA, these O-rings meet ASTM D2000 and SAE J200 standards for rubber products, and SAE AS568 standards for sizing. These O-rings are Buna-N rubber with a hardness (durometer) of 70A. In my experience, 70A is the most common hardness for general purpose industrial applications. 70A is also called "medium" hardness. Buna-N, also known as nitrile rubber, works well in applications exposed to hydraulic oil, grease, machine oil, motor oil, mild chemicals, and water. These O-rings have a round profile (as opposed to square or X profile)Temperature range: -40° to 215°F (-40° to 100°C)Your O-rings will be bagged and shipped via a standard first class mail envelope, as shown in the image above.DO NOT USE Buna-N in applications where ozone will contact the rubber or where ultraviolet light (UV) directly shines on the rubber!Buna-N seals are used on all outdoor equipment, but only inside the equipment, not as external seals exposed to sunlight. Any ozone creating machinery (flash tubes or anything that creates sparks like motor brushes) should not use Buna-N. Buna-N is robust in many applications, but UV and ozone will make Buna-N crack and eventually turn it into a pile of dust (ask me how I know!). Consider Viton, Silicone, or EPDM O-rings for UV and ozone applications.I've only taken pictures of some sizes.Other keywords: o'rings, sealing rings, rubber rings, toric joints, packing rings.
