Original rare 1950s BIG Y pear box/apple crate label. It was used for pears from growers all throughout the Yakima Valley in the various packing plants the Yakima Fruit Growers Association in Yakima, Washington and other places like Zillah, Eschbach, Sawyer, Kennewick, etc. In the 1950s the Yakima Fruit Growers Association changed their labels from the
color orange [for extra fancy] and green [for fancy grade] to being a all blue label with a Y in a target that changed colors depending on the grade of fruit. Blue Y on this label for extra fancy grade pears. Label is in good condition, BUT IT HAS A 2 INCH CUT IN THE LABEL THAT HAS BEEN REPAIRED WITH ACID FREE TAPE - see photos. Label is sold AS IS so look carefully before you bid. I will combine shipping on auctions.
