Igloo Little Playmate Pal 7 Quart Cooler Replacement Latch

This is a replacement latch for the Igloo 7 Quart Little Playmate Elite (also known as Playmate Pal) as seen in the photos. The latch is 3D printed with PLA in white. Though the Igloo Playmate is a decent cooler, the latch for the swiveling lid often breaks rendering the cooler somewhat useless. Our design is an improvement over the original latch from Igloo. The factory latch has a rib on the top and bottom sides of the latch around the swivel point - the most common point of failure when the latch breaks. Many replacements available have the same flaw whereas ours is solid across the width of the latch for additional strength. The video shows the difference in our design (in grey) adjacent to that of others' (light blue).At the bottom, the left-facing "fingers" are squared on the flawed designs. Ours are rounded to match the manufacturer's design. The flawed / squared version has a larger contact area on the base of the cooler which will scrape and can even catch on the sides of the cooler base when swiveling the lid to open or close.
