Following reports of a rumored conflict with director Anil Sharma’s production house, she took to Twitter to defend her co-actress Simrat Kaur. Some “intimate scenes” featuring Simrat, which actually belong to her previous film Dirty Hari released in 2020, went viral and upset fans on social media.
For those unfamiliar, Simrat Kaur will be paired with debutant Utkarsh Sharma in the movie. A few clips from her previous film Dirty Hari, portraying intimate moments, have been circulated on Twitter. However, a section of netizens mistakenly claimed that these scenes were from Gadar 2. Dismissing these claims, Ameesha clarified, “These images do not belong to Gadar 2!”
As trolls continued to attack Simrat for her past projects, Ameesha tweeted in her defense stating, “Spent the entire evening 2day defending the negativity surrounding Simrat Kaur who is paired opp Utkarsh Sharma in GADAR 2!! Being a girl I request all to only spread positivity n not shame a girl! Let’s encourage new talent!!”
Amisha Patel attempted to convey that performing bold scenes in a web series does not determine the talent or appropriateness of an actress’s choices. She commended Simrat Kaur for her outstanding work and expressed that her skills have been widely appreciated by the audience.
