This uncirculated 200 Mexican peso note is a commemorative banknote issued by the Bank of Mexico for the bicentennial of independence. It is a green and pink note that is dated 15 September 2008, bears the signature of Raul Valdes Ramos and series E, and measures 141 mm x 66 mm. Both sides of the note are vertically oriented. Its obverse side features a church bell in OVI and Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla with a banner from the painting “Don Miguel Hidalgo” by Jesus Enrique Emilio de la Helguera Evans. Its reverse side shows a stylized bright red cap, the Angel of Independence on Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City, and the bank seal. Security features include a map of Mexico as a registration device, a windowed motion security thread with printed 200 and demetallized bell, and a watermark of the Angel of Independence with an electrotype 200.
