Because your Saab is a 1991-1993 or 1994 CV does not mean it is a 1991-1993 or a 1994 CV transmission. Your transmission may been replaced with an earlier transmission, which will fit your Saab, however, the rings will be incorrect if you do not identify the transmission in your Saab. Using your transmission number, match up to the year your transmission is. These synchronizers are used in all 1991-1993 including 1994 convertible Saab C900 manual 5 speed transmissions. There are no identifying markings on the ring. In 1991-1993, including 1994 CV, they used a 30% larger diameter ring than the earlier- 1990 transmissions. Originally, Saab used two different synchronizers in every transmission. 1st and 4th were brass where 2nd and 3rd are a Teflon coated flat face synchronizers. These Teflon coated rings wore out prematurely causing grinding on upshifts and downshifts while the brass still works well. Recommend replacing all four with brass. These synchronizer rings have been installed and tested in many transmissions from transmission builders in USA and around the world. As a transmission builder with over 400 C900 manual 5 speed transmissions under my belt we were running out of quality used synchronizers to use as new synchronizers were unavailable from Saab. I managed to have these quality rings manufactured. If you transmission grinds in 2nd and 3rd, instead of replacing two, suggest replacing all 4 with brass rings while inside.
