Up for sale is this vintage Lake Erie Grain Scoop or Coal Shovel. As you can see from the photos the ends of the blade has issues from use. Other than that the shovel is in great condition. It has been cleaned and Fluid Film has been applied. Fluid Film is simply the best rust and corrosion preventative available on the market. It is lanolin-based, non-toxic and has been used on automobiles, tools and much more for over 50 years. The grip & shaft have also been cleaned, sanded and sealed. The grip on the Split D handle is made of ash. This shovel is just under 43 in. tall. The blade measures 17 in. long & 14 in. wide (at the widest part). The shovel weighs 5 lbs. 11 oz.
