Listing details

Offering my 100% genuine autograph of WWII ace Capt. JOHN BANNATYNE HOAG, USN (1923-1988). Hoag served with VF-82 during WWII. He was an ace with 5 confirmed victories all of which he won during the Okinawa campaign. He was awarded the DFC w/ 2 gold stars. Signed FDC. Good shape w/ normal signs of age. Very scarce signature! Read the entire listing carefully. If you have questions for something not already in the listing ask them before buying. Won't respond to questions where I already took the time to put the answer in the listing. Likewise I don't respond to questions that revolve around lowball offers. My prices are more than fair. Look at the photos as they are part of the description. Combined shipping is a given. I won't use the Best Offer option. I'm tired of all the crazy low-ball offers. I won't send offers to perennial watchers either. I will give the absolute best price I can from the door. It's the bottom line, no wiggle room price. If an item doesn't sell within two 30-day listing cycles it will be replaced.Accepting want lists for military signatures. Serious buyers/collectors only. I'm recovering from a stroke and have zero patience or wherewithal for dealing with time wasters. No low ballers, hagglers, know-it-alls (I have Google too), or bargain hunters. No merely curious or those looking for exemplars of a signature. Absolutely NO supposed relatives, self-appointed historians/authors/curators, or others who think lame bargaining ploys will net them gold for the price of tin.I am not a dealer. I am a private collector. I have no overhead or a driving need to sell. But I have been collecting military signatures for about 60 years now, and I do have my hard-earned money invested in my collections. Due to health issues, I'm offering these items solely as a means to down

size my accumulations and share with fellow collectors while I still can. I don't ask for full retail or top dollar, but I won't sell for a price that is unfair to either of us. If you want my help with your collecting I'm here. If not that's the way it goes.SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!!
