color trial models depicted. The Hubley Real Toys line started as the Canadian Burslem Real Types die cast toy cars. After 1961, production was made in the US as the successor line known as the Hubley Real Toys up until 1965. The die cast cars and trucks are made to a unique 1/55 scale, slightly smaller than the well-known Dinky Toys and Corgi Toys models of the same era, but larger than the popular 1/64 scale Matchbox Car Series. This leaflet was included in the 1964 Hubley Trade/Dealer catalog and is hard to find. After collecting these charming models for over 35 years, I recently published a comprehensive book on the Real Types and Real Toys line.
