Kean & Doty KD Pocket Door Mortise Lock Set with Key (16941)
Antique Kean & Doty (KD) pocket door mortise lock set, including both male and female flat-face pieces and the key (item 16941). Dating circa 1890–1920, this set was salvaged from an old Dayton or Cincinnati home and shows an attractive aged patina consistent with its age. Both the male face lock and the female lock with flat faces, the key is included. Works perfectly! Wonderful patina, very nice set. MORTISE FACE: The mortise locks each have a face that measures out with a length of 7" and a width of 1" wide and 1/8" thick. MORTISE BOXES: The male mortise lock box is 3 1/2" deep from the outside edge of the faceplate to the back of the box. The box is 4 1/2" high. The female mortise lock box is identical in size. BACKSET: The backset (the distance from the front edge of the brass faceplate to the center of the key hole on the male lock) is 2". KEY: We have one key that fits perfectly, we can make another one for an extra charge if you need, just let us know before ending the auction. Extra charge for that is $25, so let us know ahead of time if you will require a key. Would give a nice period look to any set of pocket doors with flat edged faces!
