Note says; "" C.S. Loan of Aug. 19 1861, The Confederate States of America Will pay the bearer TWENTY DOLLARS for Six Months Interest Due (followed by Due Date) on Bond No. 1633 For $500 For the Register of the Treasury "" followed by a LIVE signature.This is a small note - about 1 inch x 3 inches. We think this is a very nice historical Civil War era item with super nice eye appeal but since this is a BUY IT NOW please see photo's & judge for yourself. size note that was cut from a large Bond, it's approx. 1 x 3 inches. It has a bold signature & all lettering/print is very easy to see. It's in very nice shape with little wear or handling as it was cut from a bond that was remarkably preserved - its a very nice item considering its 150 + years old! Nice eye appeal with good
