To prevent damage during shipment, First Class shipments are placed in a protective plastic baggie and shipped in a very sturdy cardboard mailing tube, and Priority shipments are placed in a sheet protector and placed between 2 pieces of sturdy cardboard then shipped in a large Flat Rate envelope. I try to ship items out within a day of receiving a cleared payment, however I do have a career outside of eBay that keeps me very busy, so it might be 2-3 days sometimes before I can ship out your item.
